About EC

The Education Commons opened in March 2012. It is a state-of-the-art study and information space that supports teaching and collaborative learning. Located on the mezzanine of the George A. Weiss Pavilion in Franklin Field, the Education Commons comprises 6,400 square feet and 168 seats and includes a 22-seat seminar room and 6 group study rooms, all reservable online. The space is open to all current Penn students, faculty, and staff (a PennCard is required for access). Read more about our various supporters and general policies.

    Book Study Spaces

    The EC has 6 group study rooms of varying sizes that users can book online. Looking for a larger space? The EC Seminar Room seats 24 and can be requested online.
