The Kyung Soon Song Collection Fund was established in 2020 by Yehbin Janet Song, WG'05 and Brian D. Lee in honor of Yehbin's father, Dr. Kyung Soon Song, WG'81. A leader in the fields of business and economics, Dr. Song has worked in more than 20 countries on a variety of operational and advisory assignments, including the formulation of economic and industry policies and programs, industry rationalization, privatization, corporate restructuring, corporate finance transactions, project development and financing transactions, corporate mergers and acquisitions, corporate valuation, strategic alliance, and global portfolio investment. He is the founder of Korea Expert Consutling Group (KECG), has served as a Visiting Professor of Economics and Finance at the Graduate School of International Studies of Seoul National University, and has held leadership positions at the World Bank and Nomura.

The fund supports the acquisition of scholarly materials pertaining to the study of Korea, and Northeast Asia more broadly — with a particular focus on materials that support the initiatives and coursework of Penn's James Joo-Kim Program in Korean Studies.
