For students

Reserves are accessible through your Canvas course site under the "Penn Libraries Course Reserves" button. Click "Show Item" to access the resource. In Canvas, you will also see print books that are on reserve in the library.

Books on reserve at the Fisher Fine Arts Library are also listed in Franklin. Choose either your instructor's name from the instructor list or your course number from the course list, or combine the instructor and course search.

To consult print items on course reserve at Fisher, ask at the Fisher circulation desk with your PennCard. Reserve items are for in-library use only, with a renewable two-hour loan period.

For faculty

Register your Canvas course & request reserves

To register your course for reserves please select the reserves option when filling out your Canvas Site Request Form.

Learn more about requesting reserves through Canvas and other methods.

Faculty may place books, journal articles, and other materials on reserve at the Fisher Fine Arts Library. We start accepting reserve lists as soon as course selection for that semester begins and continue until the week before classes. Any reserve requests after that point may take longer to fulfill.

If you do not use Canvas, please email or provide a printed list or annotated syllabus to our Reserves Coordinator, Rachael Schechter.

If we need to purchase a title for your course, let us know. Please note! We do not purchase textbooks for the collection.
