Accessible entrance
The accessible entrance to the building is located on the south side of the ground floor's east wing. A railing is on the right as you approach the entrance. A door-opening plate is mounted at the end of the railing farthest from the door.
The entrance is to the left of the railing. To reach the bookdrop, walk with the railing on your left. The bookdrop and the entrance are adjacent along the wall, but access to them is separate because of the railing.
This entrance gives access to the Goldstein Undergraduate Study Center (USC) and the Rosengarten Quiet Study Center. These areas may have extended hours and are open all night Sunday through Friday during the academically busy weeks of the year: See the hours calendar.
Elevators
Elevators are west of the 2 spaces.
Bathrooms
Bathrooms doors are on the southwest wall. Each s ingle-gender bathrooms has multiple stalls, with one wheelchair accessible stall.
Mark's Cafe
Mark's Cafe entrance through the west wall, south of the elevators.
What's in the Undergrad Study Center?
On the northwest are: Class of 1963 Group Study Suite, Rooms G101.7, G101.8, G101.9, G101.10, Assistive Technologies Room G101.11, Libraries Technology Center. On the south: Pickup lockers and Ebert Lounge.
Rosengarten Quiet Study Center
The Rosengarten Quiet Study Center is north of the USC. The 2 spaces are separated by a row of rooms and a large curved reception desk (currently unused) all extending from the west side.
What's in the Rosengarten Quiet Study Center?
On the north side: Brownlee Group Study Suite (Rooms G101.2 G101.3) Stovall Dickey Group Study Room (Room G101.1), newspapers, PennCash and copy room. On the southeast: Long Island Friends of Penn Computer Area.

Book Drop and Accessible Entrance
Van Pelt Library is located between 34th and 36th streets below Walnut. To reach the front of the building, walk down the 36th street walk from 36th street or Woodland walk from 34th street. When you are facing the stairs to the first floor main entrance, the book drop and the accessible entrance are on the right side of the building on the ground floor.
