Leslie is a Senior Conservation Technician, responsible for a high variety of advanced, technical tasks related to the preservation of the Penn Libraries collections for exhibitions and loans.

She brings a wealth of experience to the role. For eight years she worked for Quarto Conservation, providing treatment and exhibit preparation services to private clients and government agencies including the Library of Congress, U.S. Supreme Court, The National Museum of African American History and Culture, and other Smithsonian institutions. She has also worked as a conservation professional at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Carrabba Conservation, and the New-York Historical Society, as well as a registrar in several NYC galleries.

In addition to her hands-on training, Leslie holds a BFA from Alfred University. In her free time, she is a painter / illustrator of whimsical works inspired by folklore, animals and her travels (see https://www.asenseofwonder.net/). Prior to returning to Philadelphia, Leslie spent three years in Melbourne, Australia as a professional artist, including during the covid lockdowns. She loved every minute of it -- especially when she got to hold a baby wombat.
