Penn Libraries and Artificial Intelligence

As Artificial Intelligence tools enter the mainstream, educators, librarians, and students are thinking through the promises and pitfalls of these new technologies in academia and beyond.

In this virtual talk, Emily Morton-Owens, the Penn Libraries’ Associate Vice Provost for Technology and Digital Initiatives, will share perspectives on the use and impact of AI in the world of higher education. Get a behind-the-scenes look into how the Penn Libraries harnesses AI tools to inform and improve its operations; hear practical recommendations for librarians and students who are hoping to use AI in their work or research; and hear about ways AI is affecting the University’s landscape.
